Freestyle Powerblading // Good idea?
I am a long time rollerblader, and i always have a passion for designing new things for my sport.
As of late there has been a new trend in the sport called Powerblading, where the normal 55mm – 60mm wheels are replaced with 80mm wheels. this allow for a new series on tricks to be achievable.
for around 5 years i have been skating a setup called freestyle which removes the need for middle wheels in favour of a larger space to do “grinds” on. this style has not yet been implemented into powerblading and I’m starting to wonder if this would be a great setup? here’s my take on what it would look like
enjoy!
Adam
P.S. This is just a concept for anyone curious

July 31, 2012This is just a conceptual piece. After discussions with my friends in the sport, we came to the conclusion that the product needs many changes in order to be a viable product.
Thanks for your interest though!

October 2, 2012The shape of that groove is stupid sorry. BTW I’ve been riding PB freestyle frames and you miss the experience of PB, you can’t go that fast, feel the same control and can’t ride stairs.

groove was never really refined, this was a quick 2 hour idea one Sunday afternoon.
